DACA Renewal and Advance Parole

Protection, work authorization, and strategic opportunities for future immigration options

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) provides eligible individuals who were brought to the United States as children with temporary protection from removal and work authorization, but it does not grant lawful immigration status. Because DACA is discretionary and remains under ongoing legal and policy scrutiny, renewals require careful preparation, accurate documentation, and up‑to‑date legal guidance—particularly when an individual’s personal or immigration history has changed.

At The Legal House, we assist clients with DACA renewals, documentation review, and individualized case evaluations, while staying closely informed of developments that may affect eligibility or benefits.

We also advise on Advance Parole, which allows certain DACA recipients to request permission to travel outside the United States for humanitarian, educational, or employment purposes and return lawfully when approved. Advance Parole requires a thoughtful review of eligibility and the specific reason for travel, and we work closely with clients to confirm that their purpose is legally appropriate, well‑documented, and aligned with long‑term immigration goals. In some cases, a lawful entry through Advance Parole may support future immigration options, and we guide clients through this process while clearly explaining both the benefits and the potential risks.

Our approach

At The Legal House, we help clients evaluate whether Advance Parole is appropriate for their situation. We guide them through the process with transparency, ensuring they understand both the benefits and the risks before making a decision.
